I am trying (see: desperately trying and slowly failing) to keep this wedding in budget and my sister has graciously volunteered to design all of our paper products and she will get them printed if we reimburse her. Any idea how much printing the following might cost and anything that I might be missing? (Not doing STD) Or how much the paper will be to mount? Or even the cost of envelopes? I feel blind going into this!
– 60 invitations, pocketfold with RSVP, map and hotel information cards inside (I will assemble the pocketfold, mounting, etc on my own)
-a fingerprint tree (11×14 or so)
-50 escort cards
-75 thank you cards
Also, how much would that cost in postage?
THANK YOU SO MUCH in advance for any help!

I got quotes for different types of paper and printing. For 90 invites, envelopes (without the return address printed), rsvp & envelope, and information cards it is going to be around $130. All the other items were broken up but I think we’ll be around $300 for the paper/printing.

Is she printing at home? Or having it done?
I think it partially depends on how ink intensive you get. For example, can you draw a map wiht a few lines instead of a block of color. If she’s printing at home, I’d say a set of ink cartridges and the paper. Couldn’t begin to guestimate on where the price would start if you are having it done.

Thank you for the information! Anyone else gone down this crazy route?

I designed all of my paper products and I printed at home. If shes taking them somewhere to print, it depends on the company really. Some places are fairly cheap, theyll print at 10 cents a page. I ordered all of my paper and envelopes from cardsandpockets.com. depending on the type of paper, it can range between $9 and $11 for a pack of 25 sheets. Envelopes are between 15 and 69 cents a piece. I guess youd just have to see how she will be printing them..

She is printing them at a printers. She is a graphic designer and has a few printers she said were “acceptable”. Honestly, I think the quality of the invitations mean more to her than they do to me, but she said as a designer she could not let me have DIY invites. ANYWAYS, I know they will look amazing and she is using them for her portfolio, but costs are always a question.
