I've printed on stardream using an inkjet printer....I bought a fixative spray from Michaels for like $5...Check out the aisle with charcoals and paints and you'll find it. I sprayed them and let them sit for a few hours and they were perfect
good luck!!
I just left mine out separately overnight and they dried fine. Just had to leave them be! :) Good luck!
Thanks so much! I was really hoping there would be a fixative spray or something! I'll have to look for it! And maybe I'll have to wait and see a little bit longer if it dries better. Thanks!
Hello!
Ive used exactly the same paper. However I didnt have a problem with the smudging, is it happening when your printing multiples?
I printed mine on stardream envelopes and after two days they were still smudging (which I was really afraid of them going through the post office)...The spray worked wonders!!
I used clear embossing powder and a heat gun to fix the ink. It came out with a nice raised look.
Ive printed on a laser jet printer and it prints fine - no drying needed.
Due to the lack of absorbancy in this paper, you're going to have a very hard time printing on it with inkjet. Laser is best if you're trying to stick to a budget, but you could also silkscreen it I imagine.
I printed on stardream envelopes (antique gold) and laser was by far the best. With inkjet, even with fixative and letting it set its not ever going to be smudge-proof and the color will not be saturated at ALL. Trust me, find yourself a laser printer, it works great.
Does anyone know what the fixative spray is called? There's no michael's where i live so I need to order it online. Thanks!

I'm a very DIY bride. I'm in the process of trying to make our wedding invitations! I originally wanted Ivory cardstock with metallic gold ink for the design but haven't been able to find a printer who has a metallic ink!
SO, I've resorted to the idea of printing the gold on a shimmer/metallic/"stardream" ivory paper! I tried it and the color looks great and gold with a shimmer! Only problem... the ink smudges!!! PLEASE HELP! Does anyone know of a way to stop the ink from smudging!?
