Hey Bees! My RSVP cards measure 3.5″x5″, and I’m having a heck of a time printing on them! My printer at home can’t do it, and either can FedEx Kinkos, or Office Max! How are you DIY ladies printing these?

Are the cards pre-cut to that size? We are using regular 8.5×11″ letter size paper to print out four (4) 3.5×5″ cards per sheet. And then cutting them out ourselves.

Just like 808mjm202, I printed our RSVP cards onto 8.5×11 paper and we cut ours out with industrial paper cutters at the University my FI works at (we even borrowed one by taking it home one night. Heavy, but we got so much work done!). You could ask Kinkos to print and cut them for you. If you have pre-cut cards…I’m not sure. My printer refused to take anything that small!

I think mine are about that size. They went through the printer fine. I didn’t change the printer settings to say how small the paper was, I just adjusted margins and put the cards in. I’m surprised those stores can’t do it… I’d ask around with friends and family to see if you can test their printers out.

We also did 4 up on an 8.5×11 page and trimmed them after printing.

I had no trouble printing them with a photo printer. We actually used our photo printer to print all of our paper goods. We just made sure that we had set up our printer options for the appropriate size and thickness of our pre-cuts.

What printer do you have?

I have an HP Photosmart 7150, and it just wont do it! The cards are pre-cut to the size, and I’m thinking I’ll have to order this paper in the 8.5″x11″ size and do what some of you suggested by just cutting them out.

It should, you might not have your software and printer configured right for it to do. Have you tried calling HP technical support? Try doing that.
If it prints 4×6 it should handle your 3.5×5

808mjm202: Hi! I need to know how to print a different invite’s name on each card. I keep getting the same name for two cards. How do I set printer to print out seperate contacts on one page? If that makes sense. LOL
