- Wedding: July 2015
Hi ladies! (And gents :))
My wedding is next July. After discussing finances with Fiance, we found that I have a pretty sizeable flower budget. The thing is, I’m CHEAP. I mean, I’ve splurged in the food/venue dept, and have an amazing photographer, but I’m having a hard time justifying $3k on flowers.
I’m kinda crafty, and I just became a Stay-At-Home Mom, so I have the time to do the flowers myself. I just don’t know if I want that kind of pressure, since I know they can’t be done too far in advance.
Just to give an idea, I have 5 BMs/GMs, myself, Fiance and possibly 2 flower girls, 10-12 reception tables and an escort card/guest book table. Fortunately my venue has beautiful gardens, fire pit tables and a flower covered gazebo, so really don’t have to do much. My centerpieces will be low (8″ or less), since I’ve never liked the tall ones you have to look around.
So, can I see some examples of DIY flowers? Maybe prices and amount of time it took you as well? Or if you decided to have them done, the reason why?
