- Wedding: February 2014
Our wedding was a bit of a destination, so I didn’t do a ton of stuff, but still managed to personalize quite a bit.
It was in the mountains, in February, so I was definitely going for that cozy, rustic feeling.
We used this as a photo prop for our thank you card pictures and then later it was tied between our two chairs at the reception.
Seating assignments – super last minute project, but it worked
Our cardbox, which hopefully we will be able to put up when we buy our first house.
Yarn-wrapped bottles with the table numbers on them, this one was for the sweetheart table (and got a little mutilated in transit apparently)
Place settings- I did the place cards (including sawing all the little pinecones to fit around them), pacaged the macarons, and printed/cut the advice mad libs (printable form etsy)
our “guestbook”- print from Costco, mat from Michael’s
My hand-knit (and beaded) wedding shawl
Also knit these hearts & hot-glued them to cake dowels as the cake topper
You can kind of see the ampersand between our chairs here.
I think the only things that didn’t get pictures taken of them were the Welcome bags. They were filled with hot cocoa, marshmallows I made, trail mix, area information brochures, hand warmers and water bottles that I made personalized labels for.
Everyone told me I was crazy for doing all that stuff. The day before we left for the wedding my husband had a good laugh that I was in the kitchen making marshmallows stating “I don’t think this is how most women spend the day before their wedding rehearsal!” But seriously, crafting kept me sane! The only thing I didn’t get accomplished was finishing his wedding socks (actually they still aren’t finished lol)
