I finally get to post my photos from our wedding! I’m so excited!
So, as some of you may have read from previous post nothing went correctly on my wedding day, but seeing the photos makes all of the “bad” stuff *almost* dissapear. It’s not really my style to go into a whole bunch of detail and all of the “negative” comments are meant to be funny. I will give you funny things about the wedding as I go along with the photos. Here goes!
Our pre-ceremony cocktails went over like lead balloon. I’m not sure if they were warm by the time people got them or if they just didn’t like them but they were all still left in their glasses by the time I got a chance to look around.
All of these pretty favors were left right in that spot when got up the next morning. Oh well! More candy for us!
No one used the cameras that we put out on the tables. I think we have a total of 5 pictures are 4 different cameras. But, again, we get to use them in the future so it’s all okay.
The only decorations we were able to put out were the rose pedals. It was too windy for anything else we had decided to do. You may notice the birdseed bags on the chairs. They were supposed to throw the birdseed during the recessional but no one read that part of the program.
The tuxes for the groomsmen came in that morning and all of the sizes were wrong. The boys have their pants safety pinned and one of the groomsmen is even wearing a belt that my *mother* happened to have in the car.
The ceremony programs were moved by someone to a table in the backyard. Therefore, I think that may explain why only a fraction of them were ever used.
Here’s my first-look photo. Lame, right? The photographer just didn’t get any of the pictures I was hoping for of me walking down a beautiful spiral staircase. Oops.
Most you probably know that one of my bridesmaids never showed up. We were happy to have just the three of us. Of course, we didn’t start getting ready until too late because I was dealing with all of the aforementioned stuff. So, the only pictures I have of us are in this little hallway.
The ceremony had it’s share of hiccups. First, the officiant lost his place several times and had to ask us what to do or say. Also, I put the ring on the wrong hand of my husband – go me! The sound system cut in and out and the majority of the ceremony was spent correcting problems. None of that really mattered though because we were so wrapped up in what did go right we didn’t notice it until after the ceremony.
Although we did a first look to have time for pictures, we ended up having to do them after the ceremony because we got started so late. This ended up being wonderful though because the sunset and rainbow!! was perfect.
This “firefly” jar was intended for guest notes and well-wishes. We have a great firefly jar and no well wishes because we forgot to lay out paper and a pen!
I love my son to death, but I should have had a better course of action when it came to the wedding. I ended up going up and down all night to ensure that he was still in bed because he designated care taker was too drunk to watch him. It’s okay though, some of the best memories I have are cuddling with him to Toy Story in wedding dress waiting for him to fall asleep.
So, yea, all in all nothing terrible went wrong. It’s a bunch of funny memories all crammed into one beautiful night. I’m so happy just to be married and I want you ladies to know that even if nothing goes well, it can all still be okay.
