I’ve been lurking for a few months now and finally decided to post.
I’m not really sure if this is the correct board to post but here it goes.
I was wondering if anyone has had a similar issue that my SO had with Tacori:
Tacori sent back the diamond he had bought because it was too deep for the setting. So, he worked with the jeweler to choose another diamond. The jeweler sent the new diamond to Tacori. The issue is that Tacori apparently double charged him for the setting. They said that the money probably won’t be back in his account until the 20th but in the meantime my SO is going to have difficulties paying his bills because of the unexpected money being taken out

That sounds like an issue with your jeweler rather than with Tacori. Your jeweler should have known if a diamond would fit in the setting. Tacori also makes all of their pieces by hand to fit the specs of your diamond, so Im not really sure why this was a problem. Also, you cannot buy jewelry directly from Tacori. You have to go through an authorized dealer…Aka your jeweler. Your jeweler is the one who charges you for the ring, not Tacori. I would find another jeweler if I were you!

That really sucks.. I agree with PP that it’s probably an issue w. the jeweler.
I’d see if they can compensate you somehow for this mistake. Not acceptable.

Thank you so much for your help! My SO and I don’t know anything about jewelry. I went back to him and asked him to check his bank account to see who the actual vendor was. Both of you were right, it seems to be the parent company of the jewelry store.
I suggested to him to give them a call tomorrow and see if they compensate him for their mistake.
