I just got my Amora 7mm Ring Bearer Moissanite, and I LOVE the color (certified G) and the fire. However when scrutinizing it, I noticed that the center of the stone looks dark quite often. Is this a nail head, or am I just being overly critical? Also the very point/center seems to show the color of what is behind it? Is this normal for a moissanite? Should I return it and order a new one?
Nail head and center window?
Okay this is definitely a window. I know that windows are quite normal when viewed at an extreme angle, but this is literally looking straight on. That’s not normal for a diamond. Is this normal for a moissanite?

Yeah, that looks like a nail head effect to me :/ Cut doesn’t look normal, and I do see through the bottom. In the second picture you can see your skin tone and in the last pic you can see the blue of the blanket. I would return it.

From the pictures it does seem to have a nail head, I would exchange it for a different one.

Thank you all, I will exchange it. Hopefully the next one is perfect!

Hey. Curious if you ever ended up getting the stone? I got mine a week ago, and I love my amora. A little warmer in cloudy days but didn’t expect anything else but super sparkly otherwise. I’ve attached a pic of my ring for reference. 🙂 love to see yours! Not sure if you can see the dark center like you did in yours.
