I was just wondering if anyone else has had any problems with Wedding Wire since they "improved" the site? My main problem is the guest section. When they "updated" the data is automatically changed everyone's RSVP to Accepted, I haven't even sent out the invites yet! So I had to go back and manually change it back to No Response for 300 people, what a pain! And now any new information I try to put in such as addresses or adding new parties won't save at all. I spent so much time putting in information yesterday only to realize that none of it was there, I was pretty frustrated about that. And the two new parties that I was actually able to save took literally 5 minutes to save and upload. I sent the site an email about these problems but have not heard anything back. Thanks, I had to vent to someone about that.
I think they are the ones that do the Wedding tools on the Martha Stewart site too because I was having problems with that one also. I was frustrated because there wasn't any A/B list options anymore! Here's hoping they fix it soon!
ARRGH! I was totally cursing wedding wire last night! I haven't tried the tools you ladies are talking about...just the website. It is such a complete pain to use and keeps freezing when I try to upload picturs or even just align the text! I am starting to wish I had not gone with a free site.
Good luck to you guys! Hopefully they will fix it soon!
<span style="font-size: 8.5pt; font-family: Verdana">I'm mad about the new changes too! I didn't think that there was anything wrong with how the site operated before (I'm using the tools through Martha Stewart's site). <span style="font-size: 8.5pt; font-family: Verdana">I'm disgruntled because I now don't know how many "parties" or invites I have, just the number of guests, which really does not help me with my planning!<span style="font-size: 8.5pt; font-family: Verdana">Cricketpe there is a way to change the A/B list and meal options. They're hidden, but after playing with it I figured it out--In the "overview" section, click on the "event" that you want to add people to the A/B list or add a meal option, for example, the reception. Then you can either click on the individual people or you can check the box next to the people that you want to change and then hit the "Edit Selected Guests" button. (yes it was A LOT easier before! )
I had the same problems with wedding wire. I sent them emails twice and received the same canned reply..saying that they are working to improve the site and to go through the tutorial. I ended up importing all my information onto excel and then working off of there.
We wrote hate mail and it was fixed... but now we can't update, either. My fiance is not happy!! I have things backed up on Weddingchannel.com. The program isn't as good as Weddingwire was, but all of the necessities are there.
Did any of you figure out how to generate a report? I see it as step 5 in the reports part, but I don't see a button or anything to actually make it create the report.
They finally got the bugs fixed and now I can finally update my guestlist, whew!! I was worried. After playing with it a bit, I do like some of the new features and will just deal with it. I'm just glad they got it fixed, I am in the process of finally sending off invites and making sure I have everyone on the list so it was frustrating when I couldn't do anything. Thanks WeddingWire for fixing the problem.
