    Hi hive!

Long story short, my groom and I are both having processionals. However, this being a fairly rare occurence, I can't find anything for song choices in Google or the Knot or anything like that (seeing as a lot of the songs are fairly feminine). We want an instrumental song, though it doesn't have to be classical. So far we're using mostly piano music, maybe some woodwinds or strings, but probably nothing brass. Most of the other songs for the ceremony are solos/duets between instruments, and we'd prefer everything to fit together.

So far, we're using 'River Flows in You' by Yiruma for my processional, and Pachelbel's 'Canon in D' for the recessional (we still haven't decided on a song for the bridesmaids processional, either, so if anyone has suggestions for that as well, that would be wonderful).

Do you wonderful bees have any ideas for song choices? : )

Well, my FI wants Metallica's Nothing Else Matters as the song that he enters to, lol. Not sure if your groom is a fan of them as well, but the instrumental version is actually really nice.

in the same vein as hilsy85, have you thought about picking a song your fiance likes and using the acoustic/instrumental version of it (assuming you can find a copy)?

we have a friend playing an instrumental version of a cat stevens song on his guitar for our processional.  it's really beautiful.

Vitamin String Quartet does AWESOME stuff. They've done Metallica, Iron Maiden, even Slayer. So definitely check them out for something manly, but still pretty!

what about some phish or allman brothers songs? lots of "jam bands" have mostly instrumental songs.

We're actually doing a groom processional as well and my fiance's choice is somewhat peculiar! Originally he was hoping to include a song from the Braveheart soundtrack (ended up being a bit too "Scottish" haha), then he was leaning towards either the James Bond theme or The Throne Room song from Star Wars: A New Hope (which actually is pretty rad)... we finally decided on him jauntily entering to the short 30 sec theme from the Office!... it'll be a hilarious way to start a fun ceremony
