We had our engagement party 2 weeks ago and we weren't registered yet and some nice gifts we got was a wine basket that came with a bottle of wine, 2 glasses and an airrator (sp?). We also got a bunch of wedding style photo albums, a wedding frame engraved with what our name is going to be (ie: The Smiths). My favorite gift we got was these beautiful champagne flutes. And then of course we got money and gift cards butt hose are some ideas.
I was thinking about getting them a dance lesson and a gift card to a restaurant as a date night type thing. I am not sure how to find a place that will give one couples dance lesson though...... It could be cute, but I am not sure how to execute it!

One of my best friends (and BM!) is having her engagement party tomorrow (procrastinate much?) and I have yet to buy them a gift! She threw together a registry bc her FMIL told her that people would want to buy them presents, but I dont really want to buy off of that. it just seems so impersonal for this occasion for some reason.
Have any of you received or gifted an awesome engagement party present??? No matter what I will probably just order online and have it shipped to their house (Im in NY and they are in Charlotte). Unless I can find something in the city prior to tomorrow. I want to give them something fun and creative and thoughtful and awesome!
