There are better options then snapfish. My FI and I are are big travellers and a few years ago I compiled all of our photos and momentos and made him a scrap book(digital). I use:

printmyphotobook.com

You have a lot more options with this program. You can make your own layouts and backrounds. They have different binding options and the quality was great. I can show you how mine turned out if you send my your email address. It was very time consuming but worth it. I plan on doing my own wedding album. After seeing a few professional albums I wasn’t that impressed for the price.

Take a look at mpix.com – they are the consumer arm of a professional photo printer and they offer diy albums at pretty reasonable prices.  They have flush mount and coffee table books.  I’ve also heard good things about Somerset albums.  If you want just coffee table books, lots of girls on this site have recommended Blurb and MyPublisher – I think they’re supposed to be higher quality than shutterfly/snapfish/kodakgallery.
