Have you thought of using paint sticks? You can probably paint them or do something to them to make them look nicer.
Home Depot gives them out for free. Although I think it depends who's in the paint department. I'm not sure if they let you walk out with 100. However, you can do a couple of trips! :)
Originally, my hubby and I thought of doing program fans and I still have about 50 paint sticks that are just sitting in my house.
@Little Bear: Thanks for the link! The Online stores are pretty cheap...but usually the shipping makes them about 2 times more! I'm doing price comparisons of the different sites I find to see what the cheapest I can get them for.
@Joanne: Thank you for the offer! I think I'll check them out first to see if they'll work before I put you through the trouble. But I appreciate it!
I hadn't even considered the shipping! Thanks for the heads up on that! I think I am still in the "I'm getting married!!!" cloud! haha! But send me a PM if you find anything good!
go on this website www.americanwoodcrafterssupply.com They have a wide range and variety of stick crafts. shipping is only like $8.00. It cost like 10.00 for a 100.
Can anyone tell me an inexpensive place to buy the wavy wooden sticks that are used in program fans?
Such as these:
