Are you having programs at your ceremony?  I thought this was a wedding-staple, but recently I'm discovering not everyone does them!

I actually really like programs and am going to start making them soon.  How are you doing yours?  What are you including on them?  Tri fold? Scroll? Fans?

I ditto Bloodgo1---I want inspiration pics!  I am usually more creative than this, but I haven't done my "program homework"!  Don't know where to start.

I am making fans out of my programs - not the ones on the sticks but the fold out kind with a bard in the corner to have them fan open- probably a 4x6 size so that they will fit in most purses.  I find that frustrating going to weddings and they are really long and I want to keep them as a keepsake but can't put them into my purse so they get folded ect.

I am going to list the names of the bridal party, officiants name, the music that will be included in the ceremony, a thank you to our guests, a "in loving memory" for my mom and a timeline for the evening.

We are having an outdoor ceremony so I think the fans will come in handy with keeping our guests cool if it is really hot out.

We'll definitely be doing them, since we'll be doing a full Lutheran ceremony, and there's a lot of things to keep up with!

I got a really pretty embossed floral cardstock in ivory, then printed up the program with notes on the ceremony on linen paper (it was a Greek Orthodox ceremony, so the explanation definitely helped some folks!), folded into squares (so the embossed stock was the "cover"), and tied it together on the fold with a ribbon. Hope I explained that sufficiently!

Yes I'm doing a ceremony program actually my pastor's wife lent me one of hers so that I can use it as inspiration. It will be a booklet and include the songs sung and special religious stuff. and the wedding party.

ook.. here are some general content / design ideas for programs. Like I said I'm having a catholic ceremony so the content will be something like this:

Programs for the ceremony: What are yours like? : wedding Picture 3

Heres a screenshot of the program i designed for my sister's wedding. I'll also include a "thank you" note at the beginning thanking FI and my parents and other family members and guests. I'll also include the names of all the wedding party and their relationship to me and FI.

As for the design itself...i don't know yet!! (eee!) it will match my other paper products which i have yet to decide on.

For the "shape" I know it will be a tri-fold or maybe an accordian fold. There are so many other folding options though..heres some images of other folds you could do.

sorry for the long post, but i love all things paper and so items like programs are on the top- o-my-list for things. Programs are def not always necessary, but for me they are a must and for a catholic wedding mass, the readings, gospel, communion music will all be included.

    Happy programming!! :D

I'm using this same peacock motif on much of the stationary instead of using a monogram.

So I thought this fan program would suit the peacock motif perfectly!
