Can you just make something up for her to do that you didn't necessarily need? Like pomadors for your chairs? Something totally random? How about planning the rehearsal dinner or making favors for that?
If you have nothing for her to do, she just has to accept that. You've got like, 6 weeks to go anyways! At least she's trying to be helpful. I'm in the same boat. Mine's in 5 week and the most I think I could have her do is come help me assemble centerpieces which I'm not about to do b/c i'm looking forward to the alone time. Just tell her everything is completely finished, but if SHE thinks of anything, to let you know =]
I'm having mine make a veil for me... I may or may not wear it. We live in seperate states & I won't get to see it until a few days before. Also, if you're not doing favors.... & she really wants to help. You should just have her make some! If you're not doing them because of money perhaps she'll be willing to pay for them because she wants to stay busy helping you out! Mothers are like that I guess! :~) But I understand wanting to do things on your own & wanting to make sure you have a handle on everything! Mine asked me if it would be alright if she did the reception decorations so I didn't have to stress about it... Ummmmmm... Really nice, but that's not gonna happen! :~)

Hi-
My FMIL keeps asking for projects. I just don't know what to give her. The items I have left, I need to complete myself with FI. I have programs, menus, playlist and escort cards left. That is all me with the help of my printer.
We are not doing favors, so I don't need help with that. The out of town bags we are going to be put together when we arrive in the City before the wedding and other guests. The bathroom basket my Mom is putting together.
I just cannot think of ANYTHING. Everytime we talk though she asks "what can she do?". She keeps asking her son as well.
Any advice?
