My promise ring is a family heirloom that I wore while we spent 4 years in a LDR. It’s sooo not my style, but it grew on me after awhile.

The top ring is my promise ring, which I received a year before my engagement ring.  I love it equally as much as my e-ring.

@Eckle:  Family heirlooms are the best…even if they do take a while because they aren’t quite our “style”.  My wedding band is my great grandmothers wedding band, and I have 2 right hand rings that were my grandmothers (she passed when I was younger). I love white gold and my grandma’s stuff is all yellow gold with huge stones (my grandmother had much bigger size hands as my size 4 1/4).  But because they were hers, I started wearing them and now I love them 🙂

The Tiffany Somerset ring was given to me about 7 years ago, and it was the first gift my FH ever picked for me. I wear it daily and have long considered it my promise ring, even though it’s somewhat unconventional. I love it even more than my e-ring! I’ve received some fancier pieces from my FH over the years, but this one makes my heart flutter every time I look at it 🙂

I’ll be getting the 18k yellow gold narrow Somerset as my stand-in/travel ring once we get married!
