- Wedding: June 2013
I’m not really one to make threads about these kind of things, but considering an impending financial blow from having to replace our car (totalled in an accident with a Mack truck on Wednesday), I was feeling pretty down about our wedding budget. So what did I decide to do? Look at rings on Etsy!
This could have been a depressing endeavor, but I wanted to share with you ladies (and fellas?) what I found, and see what you think.
First off, a little background information: We are not flashy people by any means, and as recent college grads in this economy, we aren’t operating on a very large budget. I originally thought I would want something with some gemstones or diamonds, but kept browsing those options and coming up with something I didn’t like. As for Fiance, the only idea that was really important was that we get rings that matched somehow.
First off, here is my engagement ring, which I just adore:
Now, browsing through all wedding bands, I happened to see this infinity-knot band and fell in love with the idea of my ring next to this one:
Having seen that, I then wondered if I could find something for Fiance with an infinity knot pattern as well. Since that has its own category on Etsy, that wasn’t hard to do either:
I showed Fiance and he got pretty excited, not only that I had found bands with matching motifs, but also about the price! Together, they’re only just over $300, excluding tax.
So what do you think? I thought perhaps if I decided I wanted a little extra bling down the line, the infinity knot band would look nice between my e-ring and a thin diamond eternity band.
