I’m new here and slightly jumping the gun by looking at dresses before i’m even officially engaged!
I’ve seen the Pronovias Alcanar and was wondering if anyone knows how much it would cost roughly? (GBP) if not then the Barroco as it’s very similar style & material. I dont want to get my heart set on something that’s totally out of my price range.
Also I would like to change the standard zipper back into a corset style; has anyone had this done?

@Kellyj1103: I tried on a few Pronovias gowns, not sure of the names but they were around £1600 – £2000 but I’m sure it might vary depending on region but I doubt by much.

@Kellyj1103: unfortunately most dresses are expensive here. You seem to
get more for your money overseas 🙁 x

Alcanar and Barocco were $200 difference for me – I bought my Barocco in Australia.
Try both dresses as they are quite different. Alcanar is generally more flattering, but the lace on Barocco is gorgeous, photos never do it justice. It’s the same lace that’s on the Pronovias Dalia (where you can see it better).
I changed my barocco to give it the alcanar shape – I had the neckline cut to a sweetheart, and had some of the layers underneath pulled up so it would flare a bit more at the waist rather than drop waist. It was the perfect compromise for me. You can corset the back, I was quoted $20 per button to add the elastic things around the buttons, which are already there lining the zip. Didn’t bother in the end as you can’t really see the zip.
