@MrsRevolutionize:  Address for the farm on the first invite?

On the last two I think it’s odd that you put the date and then the day of the week on a seperate line.  What about saying “seven o’clock in the evening” on the 2nd line?

Nothing in yours jumps out at me- in your friend’s, I think it’s strange to have the date listed twice. I also think the really formal wording doesn’t match the more casual design.

@mchitt329:  that’s a good point- OP, people have calendars so if you put the date, the day isn’t necessary.

@MrsRevolutionize:  I think putting the day of the week is fine, but it does not work the way you have it now. It should be “Saturday, August 16, 2014 at seven o’clock” instead of “August 16, 2014, Saturday at seven o’clock”.

If it were me I would spell the whole thing out like this:

Saturday, the sixteenth day of August

Two Thousand and Fourteen

at seven o’clock in the evening

@sillysillybee:  +1, this is what I meant, but if it’s a spacing issue because of the block you have that in, OP, I would suggest doing it like I said above.

from a design standpoint, i would shift the “under the stars” in both versions of your invitation down slightly. the letters d, t, & h are so close to the words in the line above it.

aside from that, i agree that having the date twice on the invitation for your friends is a bit weird. i’d take the numeric date out.

@colorofmyheart:  +1. Move “Under the stars” down a little. Too close to the other text.

@MrsRevolutionize:  I like the change you made to the “respond by” line 😉
