@cbj9:  Hey there! My advice: Do yourself a favour and don’t work yourself up for a specific time that he’ll propose. You’ll only set yourself up for disappointment if it doesn’t happen then. I went through this during Christmas thinking for sure he’d “officially” propose on Christmas day ( I mean we are already planning our wedding, gust lists, honeymoon). We made an agreement to get married and there was never an actual proposal ( I know, we’re weird like that;) Well, Christmas came and went and no ring. I was crushed for a little bit . When I asked him about it he said that there was an actual official one on the way and that it was important for him to do it.(Just money’s been tight lately). But, ugh!! It’s killing me the waiting! I can totally relate..

@cbj9:  Great! Was just responding to the comment about “thinking he will probably propose over spring break” comment you made in your original post. If you know it’s coming that’s wonderful! I think the waiting time can be pretty amazing too ( at least I try to look at it in that way most of the time;)

@cbj9:  I was in a similar situation. I knew FI had the ring (we took a trip to NYC together to design and buy it) and we are in a LDR so there were only so many times where he would be able to propose. I knew it would be when I was visiting him for a week but wasn’t sure exactly when/where/how. Like @raindancer: said, don’t get yourself worked up over it because who knows, it may or may not happen. Just relax and let things happen as they may, it’ll come in due time!

We are going away to Disney World for Valentine’s Day, so I THINK it is happening before that. I know he had a talk with my parents and best friends. I am also going to visit my sisters in March, so it could also happen before then, but after Valentine’s Day. All I know is that I will for sure be proposed to before St. Patrick’s Day. I feel like itis happening before Valentine’s Day.

@raindancer:  I’m in a similar position as u. We do that stuff too. I’m hoping he’ll do it by summer though.

@cbj9:  Try getting a hobby to keep your mind off it. But u know he has a ring so that’s great!
