Sometimes, men are so nervous they mess up simple little things that just make the proposal that much more adorable and memorable. What did your Fiance fumble on?
After Mr. Hedgie asked me to be his “angel forever” he just knelt there. Looking at the ring and back at me. He thought I was supposed to take the ring out and put it on. lol. When I finally told him to put it on my finger himself he put it in the right hand and not just that, on my middle finger! He was so nervous and flustered it was adorable.

J didn’t put the ring on me either. I was in such complete shock that the two of us were just standing there. I kept hugging him, then I’d pull away only to hug him again. Neither of us knew what to do, I guess. It was cute.

Haha, I was the one who was flustered, and also a little tipsy–he threw me a huge birthday party at akaraoke/sushi bar and people had been buying me drinks for several hours by that point! I think I had also just belted out karaoke to “Part of Your World” from the Little Mermaid, if that gives you any idea of how not sober I was by then 🙂 It was a pretty crazy night!
I watched a friend’s video of the proposal and it seems I grabbed the ring out of his hand…I didn’t even give him the chance to put it on my finger! I was just so excited but also nervous it wouldn’t fit, so I didn’t want him to try to shove it onto my finger and for it to get stuck. I couldn’t remember us getting my finger sized, but we must have done it at some point because it fit perfectly. I hadn’t expected a proposal with a microphone and an audience of 40 of our closest friends, so it was a tad overwhleming!

Haha N started off his proposal by apologizing for all sorts of stuff that I didn’t even remember. I think he was worried I wouldn’t say yes or something.

Lol my Fiance was SOOO nervous! He organized the whole thing perfectly, but when it got to his part he just froze! He also opened the ring box upsidedown at first! He’s still beating himself up for not going down on one knee and saying sappy things or whatever, but I really don’t care. I loved the proposal just the way it was. 🙂

@Marabeth LOL I grabbed the ring from my Fiance too – the pictures prove it! We were in public and I’m not used to that much of a spotlight!
My Fiance forgot to get down on one knee – apparently I had told him previously that I would love to have him do that so afterwards he was all upset that he forgot – but it was perfect exactly the way it was – no getting down on one knee needed :o)

@TXNHBride: Oh good, I’m glad I’m not the only one! Everyone thought it was so funny. I was just so excited to see the ring and so overwhelmed to have such an audience there. I just wanted to get a good look at it!

I would say location was FI’s biggest fumble. He proposed in one of our local parks after a romantic stroll. This park has dozens of gorgeous secluded spots but for some reason we ended up in the one location thats covered in gravel. The fountain he proposed at didn’t have any special meaning or anything, he just liked the spot. Well, he asked me to be his wife, got down on one knee and winced in pain. Needless to say, he wasn’t down there long. When he stood back up we had to pick razor sharp gravel out of his knee. Fun times! =)

My FI’s small fumble (in his PERFECT proposal) was that *apparently* he said something like, “I’d like to make you my wife.” And I, of course, said, “Yes! Yes!” Well, he realized that it wasn’t a question and re-phrased. 🙂
Of course, I didn’t notice at the time… All I was thinking is, “Didn’t I already say yes? Why is he asking again??”

@Mrs Hedgehog: My husband wouldn’t put the ring on my finger until I said yes. I kept on saying “OMG! OMG” before I said yes. It freaked him out a bit. Once I could say any other word than “OMG!” then the ring made its way to my finger.

Not really a fumble, but when Darling Husband tried to do an “official” proposal (we’d already agreed to get married) with the ring, he looked so damn serious that I lost it and tipped over on the couch, cracking my head on a game controller in the process. He did put the ring on my finger, though, and my head was fine. Happy ending!

Lol. these are great. My Fiance was so flustered. He proposed in the perfect location for me, in front of the castle @ Disneyland. We sat at one of the bench things in front and we were both acting weird. him because he was nervous and me because I knew it was coming but didn’t want to seem to anxious. It was pretty funny. He out of nowhere said some random comment about the swans not being out. I turned to look and when I turned back he had the box out and opened and was just llooking at me like he wanted me to say something. I just looked at him and said finally, “well… don’t you have something to ask me?” We just laughed and he asked and I cried and it was amazing. It fit us perfectly.

He was planning on doing it at sunset, but it was pouring! He just put it in his sock drawer instead and I was the one who was crying too hard to put it on my finger before screaming YES 76 times.

@UpstateCait: HAHA same! Sorta. Fiance and I went to our favorite park (we take our doggies there all the time) and we were all four (that’d be us, and 2 dogs) walking and he kneeled down and was SO close to putting his knee in duck/goose sh&t that we both just had to laugh. 🙂 His face was pretty adorable because he was so nervous and then kind of flustered.

I also had to tell Fiance that he had to put the ring on my finger! We hugged for a minute and then I said…well…. put it on there ! haha. we were both pretty excited though, so it’s understandable.
