@shellybee13:  I’m with you! I was told “When I know I’m acing the class.” Class starts Aug 19, midterms are in Oct, Final in Dec. So really, anytime after midterms, up until final grades come in in January. *dies*

I am PRETTY sure it’s coming before Christmas (and my birthday, which is two days before that) as my SO is not the sentimental type and wouldn’t want it to be overshadowed by the holidays. I’m hoping for September or October, but definitely before the end of the year! So exciting, congrats!

@aithinne:  I don’t totally understand the connection between school and the proposal. I am not trying to be critical, I’m just genuinely confused. Will good grades make him more comfortable proposing? If there were a problem or a bad grade in the class would it delay the proposal?

@PromiseRooster:  He already failed this class once. He just wants to make sure he’s going to pass. It’s his whole “I have a plan, and I’m not going to deviate from that plan” thing. *shrugs* He’s a tad OCD about some things, so I’ve just decided that this is one of them and we move past it.

He says that we would already be engaged if he hadn’t failed this class last year.

If he does fail, well, I’ve already told him I’m not letting him sit on the ring for another year, and that there would be a talk at that point. However, I don’t plan on letting him fail, and I am a whiz at school, so he’ll pass. 🙂

Congrats!  It’s always nice when an SO is super proactive about getting it done.
