FSIL’s Birthday is this week and we’re going to the in-laws to celebrate today. She’s turning 20 and going to Italy for Spring Break so fi and I got her $100 USD worth of Euros, and since I hate not giving something tangible, I went and found an adorable wallet at Burlington Coat Factory to put the Euros in.
Anyway, I made her a card and a box (for the wallet) last night, and I just had to share! My primary “tool” for this project was the Ultimate Crafter’s Companion…if you like making cards/envelopes/boxes, I totally recommend it!
So here it is…I really just wanted to show off, lol.
The front of the “purse card” (the instructions on how to make this come on the DVD that comes with the Crafter’s Companion):
Why yes…the inside is a pop-up card:
“Happy Birthday” in Italian stamped on with acrylic stamps:
The top of the box (yes I did put all of those rhinestones on individually):
The base of the box:
And the whole gift:
What do you think??

What a cute card and box, great job. The wallet and cash are a great idea for her trip.

She loved it…so did the rest of the future in-laws! They are always impressed with my crafting, but for some reason they were super impressed with this one. And what was funny is she opened the box and got excited about the wallet, and I had to tell her to open it, lol. It’s a nice wallet (nine west) but that wasn’t even the gift, just a cute way to prevent the Euros, haha. She got much more excited about the Euros though!
