@MrsMaine: My doctor usually wants me to wait until I hit CD35 without a LH surge or bleeding. The only reason I'm starting early this cycle is that I had weird spotting from CDs 19-24 and we're not sure what was up with that.
I voted 40-50, but I have waited 4 and 5 months in the past. That was dumb and I wouldn't do that again, but I was convinced during the whole 5 months that O was coming soon. Recently I took my first round of Provera with some encouragement from the bee and I'm really glad I did. Now I will probably wait like 40 days, depending on if I have/had any ovulation signs. Even though the Provera takes like 15 days, at least you know what to expect.
My OB told me to take my prometrium every 6 weeks if AF doesn't show on her own.
I've been told to wait to 35 - but I hate that, because it means I'm up to a 45-50 day cycle afterwards. Horrible. If it's my choice, I go 30.

So I have PCOS which comes along with super long, unpredictable, annovulatory cycles. Which is more than annoying while TTC. I've even had 60+ day cycles.
I have used Provera to induce a period in the past to move onto the next cycle, but I never know how long I should wait it out for ovulation before starting Provera.
I'm currently on CD28 with no ovulation in sight. When should I start considering the first dose of Provera?
(Keep in mind it adds at least another 15 days to your cycle. 10 days taking the Provera, then AF usually shows up for me 5 days after stopping).
Thanks! :)
