Ugh…my groom is almost guilty of this, though not with his groomsmen. He gave me the name of one of his female coworkers to invite, who were a “Mr. and Mrs. Hisfirstname HIslastname” and got the name of her poor husband completely wrong–not just spelled wrong, but a totally different name. My mom was mortified.

Oh my goodness, when we were about to send out our invitations, my fiance’s “whateverrr” attitude toward proper name spellings was driving me CRAZY! One day he sent me the address for one of his cousins, and he had their names as “Mr. and Mrs. Saxx.” And I asked him if he was sure this was the correct spelling, since that name looked a little odd to me. He said it was correct.

I googled their address and it turns out that their name is actually “Sachse”, not “Saxx”!! I would have been sooo mortified if I had actually spelled it the way he told me to. Embarassed

When we were inviting FI’s grandmother, not only was he not sure how to spell her last name or what her middle name was, but when we asked his mom for grandmother’s address for the STDs, she misspelled the street name!!! So embarassing.
