It's funny.  A few years ago I purchased a roll of stamps and took care of other mailing too.  When I got home, I didn't have the roll of stamps and realized it was not given to mer.  I called the post office and was told there was no way they could track the stamps because they didn't keep a daily record of what stamps were sold or what money was taken in.  I can imagine we are paying for some wonderful vacations with the theft that was taking place with no cash drawer accountability.
