Of course, I sealed about 70 something invites and then remembered I forgot to number them... so I've had my fingers crossed no one would be rediculous.

Well, this came postmarked locally, with no return address.

Really? REALLY!?!?!?! What am I supposed to do with this?

Do you still have the envelope it came with? The postmark will at least let you know where it was sent from, which may help you narrow it down from guests you're already head from in that location.

People are so freaking oblivious, though, I feel you!

@daydreamwanderer: She said in her post that she didn't. I forgot to do that too, but luckily this didn't happen to me! Phew.

I meant to number.... and then got in a groove and started to seal and got about 70 done when I realized I didn't.

It had a local postmark which really doesn't narrow it down... at all.

Wow. I had a couple of blanks come back to me...but this is somehow even more annoying! Wait for more responses to trickle in and then play process of elimination? I really don't know.

We had a couple of these! Thank GOD we numbered... of course, we had some people cross out the numbers and ADD PEOPLE. So freakin' rude. Mr. KM's uncle added two people and then they didn't even come. Thanks for wasting 100$... Ugh!

Check your guest list and see who you invited that is a total of 2 people.  Then narrow it down to the locals.  Then hopefully the other invites will come in complete and you'll be able to place this to the right person!

Luckily I remembered to number mine!

We had one where the corner where I numbered was torn off (postcard).  I still to this day don't know who it was that RSVP'd yes... but it got confusing because we had wedding crashers too (all friends).  We also had people RSVP yes and never show up.  So I still can't definitively say how many people I had at my wedding.  We'll just call it 130ish.

We self addressed the post card RSVPs with a return address of the person we were sending it too.  Helped us a lot.

@CCSR: Just about everyone from that area is a total of 2. I think we are going to have to wait for the deadline and see who it is... "Hi, We haven't gotten your RSVP so we were wondering if you can make it or not." "Oh, you did send it in? Right after you got it? Hmm... I guess the post lost it... Glad you can make it!" Hang up.... idiot... :-p just kidding on that last part...

@Ella1978: I was going to add return address lines to the envelope but my printer wouldn't format right for them....

I had that same problem with the labels!  I ended up bringing them to work and having someone help.  Our printer would NOT print directly on a label.  It was frustrating!

Wow. Um, yeah, it might look like you have to call people (which most people have to do anyway). But at least you're triaged--there won't be THAT many people with a ? next to their name by the time the deadline rolls around. At least you can count them in the headcount!

I am amused and picturing an escort card/seating card with just a backslash.

@crayfish: Unfortunately, that doesn't always work. We have had people RSVP who live like 10 minutes from us w/ a San Diego (which is 2 hours away) postmark...totally weird. Thank goodness we avoided all this by just writing names in ourselves.

Eeek. I'm gonna hide under the bed and let FMIL do all this. Totally freaks me out. How think/dense/rude can people be?
