Last year, me and some of my friends organized a pub crawl, just for the fun of it. We got a great turn out and had a blast.
This year, we decided to turn it into something “for a cause” and on Friday night, we raised $300 to give to the Muscular Dystrophy Association! 🙂

What a FANTASTIC idea! good for you girl! Now you can tell ‘I drink to help others!’ =D
on a funny side note there’s a liquor store here and the owners mother died of breast cancer so he has a little breast cancer research donation box on the counter. There’s a little sign that says ‘If you intend to use your purchase to touch someones boobies, please donate a dollar to protect your investment’ Soooo cute! it’s always full of money too =D

@murmur, I LOVE THAT!!! Hahaha! Maybe that’ll be the theme for our next one!
We decided that if we were going to go out and drink anyway, we might as well do it for a cause! So I had custom koozies printed up that said “Pub Crawl for a Cause” and everyone gave $10 each in exchange for the koozie. Then I worked with the bars to offer specials for people with koozies, most of them did $2-3 beers, which was great!
After the cost of the koozies, all proceeds went to MDA, and even though we got a smaller turnout than we thought we would, still raised $300 to donate!
