I think the next step would be waxing. Some people find it hurts, some people find it doesn’t. Personally, it hurts a little, but no unbearable. I usually take a panadol 30 mins before hand, and I find it helps a little.

tynakinnon:  Who are the lucky people that get to enjoy painless Brazilian waxing?! Lucky Mo fo’s!!!!

My friends convinced me to try waxing, and I was in shock with how much it hurt!!! Tears flowed from my eyes involuntarily!! They had to give me some wine and let me take a break lol. Not to mention the embarassment of a stranger seeing all of your goodies! When I was told to lay on my stomache and hold open my booty cheeks, I was thoroughly convinced that the whole procedure wasn’t worth it…but surprisingly, the back hurts WAY less than the front (if you get what I’m saying…).

With that said however, the results are so AMAZING and long lasting that I always forget the horrors…until 3 weeks later when I end up on the waxing table again! Like a glutton for punishment, I keep going back and keep listening to their lies that it’ll get less painful lol

…hahahah, I hope I didn’t scare you!!!

I also wax, and yes it is painful, but if you take an advil half hour before it is not so bad.  I also found a lady that uses hard wax instead of the strips and hot wax and it is way less painful, so if you can find someone in your area that uses that I would recommend it 🙂

LadyAprill: I’m afraid that I am one of those lucky people!  The first time I had it done it hurt a lot, the second time it hurt a little, but since then it hasn’t hurt at all.  I’m sorry you haven’t had the same experience!

I do sugaring. I used to wax, but my salon has switched 100% to sugaring and it is wonderful! It is much less painful because it only pulls the hair and not the skin. It’s not bad. I take some Tylenol before I go in and it takes about 10 minutes. It is totally worth it. I go once a month.

Omg you ladies are brave (or crazy!). I’ve always been a trimmer, and my FI’s happy with that, phew 🙂 Though if I’m planning on going to the beach I’ll shave the sides (though I usually get those red bumps).

Tomato22:  Intriguing!

I shave and sometimes do my own waxing, but I did a pro brazilian before the wedding and oh my god… what an experience. Not something I’m excited to ever do again!

I’ve just finished 8 IPL treatments on my Brazilian and I’m hairfree and love it. Best thing I did.

I wax and shave. I try to stick with just waxing, but I often have a hard time being patient. You have to grow out the hair for a week or two. I love the effects of waxing, and it lasts a good amount of time, but the growing out time is rough on me!! My waxer has several types of waxes (it depends on the part of body she is waxing, I think) and is VERY quick. Yeah, it hurts a little but she is better than anyone else I’ve seen. I’m over the pain relatively quickly and she keeps me talking so it really does go quickly.
