It's actually in Puerto Plata, Dominican Republic. The hotel is part of a Spanish chain, hence the Iberostar brand =d

So...my fiance and I have all but given up on our original destination wedding location and are now considering returning to the first place we ever went to for a vaca--Puerto Plata.
We are working on reserving San Felipe with and English-speaking priest...
My question is really about the reception. We can't return to the same exact resort we previously went to because some of our guests are bringing children, which are not allowed at that resort. We are now considering Iberostar Costa Dorada.
Has anyone had any experience with this resort? More importantly, has anyone had or attended a wedding reception at the resort? The hotel has said they can reserve the Bohio restaurant for a private reception (for about 70 to 100 people)...I am a little concerned that the decor/set up might look a little cheesy...Also confused bec the price quote not only has us paying for exclusivity and a menu (which is ok, I assume they do something different for a wedding) but also for alcohol--which is included in their all inclusive packages...waiting to hear back from the hotel now.
I would appreciate any insight, particularly from the DR brides out there. Thank you!
