There have been a couple on the boards. I think they already got married though.
I am Puerto Rican- And I have been to the observatory. That sounds like your wedding will be amazing! Who is your photographer?
Take a look at the related posts that get attached to your threads to see past PR board posts! =o)
Well it's good to know there's other boricuas here, as well as brides who've gotten married in PR! :D I was starting to feel lonely :(
Our photographer will be David Medina, who is based in San Juan. His work is gorgeous and he's super nice too.

Anyone else here getting married in Puerto Rico?
Fiance and I are both astronomers (well, I'm still in grad school but I should finish my PhD within the next year or so), and I'm Puerto Rican, so we're getting married at the Arecibo Observatory. It's the first time they'll have a wedding there, and they seem pretty excited about it! We're having the reception at the Embassy Suites Resort in Dorado, which is about an hour away from the Observatory, so that should be interesting (transportation, logistics, getting people there on time, etc)...
Since our wedding is still nine months away, the only vendors we've hired so far are a wedding coordinator (who has been a lifesaver so far!), a photographer, and we're in the process of hiring a DJ. Our coordinator found us the DJ, but we found the photographer ourselves after much research online and a trip down there to meet with various photogs.
Oh and the wedding is in February, which is apparently near the height of wedding season in PR, but it's perfect because it won't be too hot and humid (temperatures in the upper 70s to lower 80s), and we get to avoid the cold and the snow! :)
Any other PR brides (and grooms!) out there?
