So this sounds bad and like I’m super out of shape, but I pulled my groin muscle (or tweaked it, or did something to it) while bowling! I think it’s because I haven’t been bowling in years and am not used to the movement. But oh man, it hurts! I did it on Saturday and it’s just getting more sore 🙁 I feel like an old lady! haha. I tried yoga today because I thought stretching it out might help, but it didn’t at all. And it’s still pretty sore, hurts to the touch. Any recommendations on what to do? Ice it? Heating pad? I’ve pulled muscles before, but never the groin! Anyone else pulled this muscle before?
I never know when to apply ice or when to apply heat!

@mm86: Have you tried Salon Pas? It usually solves most of my pulled muscle problems. Helps calm the muscles. Hope you feel better soon!

@pengoala: I haven’t tried it, thanks for the suggestion!

Heating pad! You need to stimulate blood flow to the area to repair the injured muscle fibers. That’s an icky pull because it’s a muscle used way more often than you’d think! Good luck!

@abbie017: Thanks! Yeah, definitely use it in like everything you do! It only feels a bit better in the mornings (because I haven’t used it all night)….but yeah, even lifting my leg hurts 🙁

I did that once, and it was when I was in really good shape. It was just sort of a freak thing, and holy crap did it hurt! It also took forever to heal completely.
