We got back from our honeymoon a few weeks ago and it was amazing! I just wanted to share and maybe help people looking into Punta Cana. When we first started researching places for our honeymoon we had such a hard time figuring things out but in the end Punta Cana seemed to offer the most bang for our buck. It was reasonably priced, all inclusive, beautiful beaches, and activities to do. We stayed at the Majestic Elegance for 8 days including flights from Los Angeles and upgraded to their highest room (Elegance Club Suite with Ocean view and outdoor jacuzzi in the adults only section) for under $5000. We spent another $700 on excursions though.
Quick rundown of the hotel: It was gorgeous, our room was huge!!!! The restaurants were good, especially the Habachi restaurant and the Italian restaurant. The Sea and See was great for lunch since it was right on the beach and the Italian place had really good omelettes and bread for breakfast. And they did a romantic dinner for us on the beach that was lobster and steak, so good!!
Excursions: We went to Saona Island, which was gorgeous and you stop at a place that has starfish in the water but the drive there was almost 2 hours, which sucked. We also did a dun buggy excursion where we went to Macao Beach. This had to be the prettiest beach I’ve ever seen. And you go to Macao Cave and get to go swimming in there. Not much driving though, you have to stay in a straight line. Then we did a swim with the dolphins that was so much fun, by far my favoritie excursion.
Anyway on to the pictures but I figured I’d share and would definitely recommend this resort to anyone looking.
