I have noticed over the last little while that it has been puppy fever here in the hive.
If you have recently gotten a pup - who is he/she doing?
We have now had Maverick our black lab mix for 5 weeks (Whoa - I had to check my calender and I can't believe it's already been 5 weeks). He was 11 weeks when we got him and so he is turning 16 weeks this week.
He is growing like a weed and has already put on 10lbs - I know it's good but I can't help but want him to stay small.
He has 'sit', 'stay', 'down' and 'come' down pat and we are now working on 'drop it', 'leave it' and 'heel'. I am not going to lie but heel is frustrating me a little right now - we have been doing it since day 1 and he just isn't getting it. He is such a good little guy though, he was potty trained when we got him, he loves ALL people and kids and he was comfortable around all dogs at the dog park within a week.
How are all you other puppy owners doing? How are the pups doing? And of course I want to see pictures ;-).
And even if your pup is all grown up post some puppy pics and we will overload this thread with cuteness.

@Future Mrs. Martin: Oh my goodness....My parent's "family dog" is a black lab named Maverick!!! It takes me back to his little guy days. He's a big boy now at 7 years old, but he was such a cutie when he was a pup. He's a cutie now, just in a big dog sort of way. lol
He is absolutely adorable! FI's parents have had labs since FI and his brothers were kids. They are, in my opinion, the best dogs out there. We'll be getting a chocolate lab when we're to the point where we can work from home.

When I get home I'll post some pics of my parents' yellow lab when she was a pup. I was still living with them when she was just a little bitty thing and I took a ton of photos.
Here is my Juneau at 14 weeks old! Her first snowfall. I LOVE THIS POST! and my Bella at 3 months when we first got her, what a cutie!!!

@JsDragonfly: Awe that's too cute! I love it! Did they get the name from Top Gun? We haven't met another Maverick yet. We have heard there is a husky that goes to our dog park named Maverick but haven't met him yet!
@UpstateCait: Labs are great dogs. This is our first experience with them and he truly is a pleasure. And so quiet - our last dog was a mouthy yorkie and it's so weird to have a dog that is so quiet. I have never heard him growl and he barks very infrequently.

Maui is now just over 5 months (French Bulldog). She is bigger than the pic in the sink, but that was only a few weeks ago. She was the runt of the litter, but is growing fast now!
@lefeymw: Oh my goodness - too cute for words! Look at that squished face!
@Future Mrs. Martin: really well actually. They are notorious for being hard, but she is learning really well! We are in doggy training classes with her and the trainer is impressed. We are clicker training her. She has sit down, mostly listens with "Come", heels relatively well, only a few random accidents inside. She knows she has to sit in front of us if she wants to sit on our lap or to be picked up. (trying to make sure she doesnt jump on people) etc... still working but its coming along!
I especially love that she doesnt make a sound (well except for her gremlin noices because of her breathing and squished face)

Aw I love all the puppy picture! We got our second dog back in October 5 days after we got engaged . . .. Here is her then and another one of her now with her big Bro . . . .
Yeah it always seems to look a little different! I think it depends on the lighting. Here's another current one where she looks darker (ok, I'm shameless with the puppy pictures, haha). And she has her little socks on after her dewclaws were removed!

love this post!! Here's one of my little guy the day we got him (he was 4 months old) and another a few months later (he was probably 8 months at that point)
Here's my little Scooter when we adopted him last January! He was 8 weeks old in these pics. We were told he is part dachshund and chihuahua. There's possibly some min pin in there as well.
Your fur babies are all so damn CUTE!!! I want a puppy so bad!

This is our next door neighbours dog, but we love to borrow her and she likes a nap after a big walk:
Oh, the little fur babies are adorable! This is Gidget, she was 12 weeks when we brought her home, now she is 16. She has sit, stay, jump, down, what we call "treat" she goes to the treat door, "potty" means go to the front door, bed, and right now we are working on roll over. She is learning so fast, she knows most of them verbally and by hand signals. That is the power of a peanut butter treat.

OH WOW! KEEP THEM COMING, ALL OF YOUR PUPPIES ARE TOO CUTE! Their faces just make my day! :)
Puppies RULE
Our boxer/lab mix, Roland, is going to be 1 next month! I can't believe it. He made our lives better. Here he is the day we got him!!
