I am watching the movie “Birdesmaids” and at the birdal shower they were giving out puppies. Just for the record the movie was not nearly as good as I thought it would be.
Would you ever do that, if you knew everyone would love adn take care of the puppy?

@LaWife: no way. thats terrible lol. people come to your shower, give you gifts, and then you load them up with a 14 year (roughly) responsibility. heck to the no! lol and fyi i love puppies 🙂

@LaWife: i thought that part was hilarious. no one would ever really do that but i laughed so hard when melissa mccarthy’s character took a bunch of puppies.

OMG this is my favorite movie ever! Though I REALLY wished they would have made it to Vegas. I’m really holding out hoping that they do a sequel where they travel to Vegas for wedding anniversary or something and actually make it there with the whole movie shot in Vegas. LOL I really like it too because Melissa McCarthy is one of my favorite actresses and I LOVE the SNL acctresses.
Anyway, hell to the no. That is a HORRIBLE way to end up with a pet. They are a huge responsibility and that is a big thing to put on people.

I don’t see how you could know that everyone invited AND their respective SO and their hypothetical landlord are all cool with it. Haha.

Puppies as favors would be the most insensitive and awful gift ever.
Good in the movie though!

I wouldn’t even give people live houseplants as favors, much less live animals.

Is this a serious question? :-0

@LaWife: No. I don’t think anyone should ever give an animal as a present, with the exception of a spouse to spouse (after much discussion) or parent to child. Even if you think everyone would take care of it – well, that’s how a lot of animals end up in shelters after Christmas.

In the movie it was hilarious, but no.no.no. No one should EVER do this in real life.

I agree it was very funny in the movie, but please, please, please, please for the sake of the puppies, I hope nobody does this in real life.

@LaWife: Never- it is completely inappropriate to pick out a pet for someone else unless you have previously discussed it with them.

@LaWife: I’d never give away puppies but I’d gladly take 9 of them home like that one chick..
