At this point the count stands at 4 pairs of shoes our six month old puppy has destroyed. Only two of the four were left on the floor – the other two were put up supposedly out of her reach. She has also destroyed two books and a dissertation prospectus.
Make me feel better bees, What have you lost to pet destruction?

Lots of shoes and a kitchen chair annnnnnnnnnd a leg of a couch. $2,500 for a surgery because they found a pair of undie and ate them…sooo yes the undies too. Oh dogs. I couldn’t live without them.

When we fist got our dog she was 4 months old. I have a tooth mark in just about every shoe I own. Of course, it was my fault for leaving them where she could get them. Today, she doesn’t even glance at them.
The worst thing she got to, though, was our remote. She chewed all the buttons off. She also caught a mole and brought it into the house. But, overall, she is an extremely good dog and was even a good puppy (trained fast ,etc).

OMG…what hasn’t our dog..then puppy chewed. He’s a little over 2 yrs. and has chewed through 3 electrical cords (all unplugged…thank god), corners of all of our kitchen chairs (IkEA Cheapies…thank god), the corner woodwork, the corners of our living furniture, our sofa cushions, hats, bags, undies, you name it…he left his mark on it. My Future Mother-In-Law calls things he’s chewed “Designs by Boris”. He chewed a pair of her glasses, so she got an original Design by Boris.
The chewing has stopped on most occasions. But yesterday, I came home to find he has pulled the threading of our carpet up in one little area (not in the main living room) , chewed on the carpet pad and now you can see the old hard wood floor beneath! AHHH! Just another reason now to pester my Fiance to use some of our (hopefully) wedding money to get new hardwood and pull that carpet!!!!

If we leave something laying out while we aren’t home, she will chew it. So, we just don’t leave anything laying around any more! & our house looks much better because of it 😉
Though this didn’t help us when she decided to jump on the dining room table and break 2 candle holders last night…hmm…

One of my family dogs tore up our entire landscape lighting system…as in, she tore the wires out of the ground. Eek!

My little one loves electrical wires. All have been plugged in at the time she chewed through them, but border collie’s have the highest tolerence to pain and she showed no fear after. 2 phone charges, one laptop cord, wall ac cord and then of course underwear and socks and the rug in our office. Also she loves the corner of ottomans. But when it comes to shoes she will not chew them but will certainly collect them and put them with her toys.

Several pairs of underwear and countless numbers of socks. The only thing he chews! So weird. We are just super careful to never ever let them on the floor now 🙂
