@mixtaperomance:  Is this different/better than the regular PUR filter system?  Sometimes I feel like companies put words like “baby safe” or “healthy” on things to scare mom’s into buying more crap.

I’d just buy a regular water filter.

Baby Pur: (30 dollars before tax/shipping)

Clean water for mixing infant formula and cereal
MineralClear filter removes 99% of lead and trace levels of pharmaceuticals* along with many other contaminants
Easy 1-click installation makes it easy to remove and replace when you need extra room in the sink
360-degree swivel allows it to fit well in most sinks
Built-in electronic filter life indicator tells you when the filter needs to be changed
High-quality construction: new finishes and materials stand up to tough kitchen use

Regular Pur basic (26 dollars before tax/shipping)

Basic filter removes 99% of lead and trace levels of pharmaceuticals*along with many other contaminants

From their own website. It is absolutely identical to any other filter they have, they just slap a baby name on it and charge more.

I use the filtered water on my refrigerator. My pediatrician said it’s fine as long as I regularly replace the filter, which I do. Therefore, I’d guess the regular PUR filter is fine!
