I’m commenting to follow, I would love to hear others stories on buying a ring through Etsy.

I bought my band from Etsy, a white gold amethyst band. It’s supposed to arrive tomorrow though.

I bought 2 wedding rings on Etsy. One from ZinaFineJewelry and one from Rosados Box. Both are very lovely, but unfortunately I have already lost a stone out of the Rosados Box ring. They are repairing it “for free” (I had to pay for shipping, $15). I am a bit miffed because they have amazing reviews and it looked like really great craftsmanship. Oh well, hoping it comes back and I don’t have anymore problems.

tea:  FI bought my e-ring from etsy, and I plan on buying our wedding bands there too I think. I LOVE my e-ring. Sure it was a risky move, but we made sure to pick an etsy store that had a reasonable return policy. We went through TheLOGR.

tea:  I’m going to be honest with you, but DON’T BE SCARED!

Planning the purchase was GREAT. They did a fantastic job working with me and made me a beautiful custom ring.

HOWEVER they did put the wrong engraving design on my ring. BUT when I told him he was very fine with returning it for the correct design, but I actually preferred it to the one I picked.

The quality I would say was an 8.5 out of 10. I didn’t expect it to be the best ever because it was so cheap, but my ring is a tiny bit crooked. LIke the ring part meets the head at a different angle on one side then the other, but you can ONLY see it when I take it off, and since it will eventually warp anyways.

If you go into it understanding that you get what you pay for then you’ll be fine. I honestly feel like we got way more than what we paid for. For a setting for my stone (we ordered a stone separated and had a local jeweler set it) it would have been almost twice as much for just a plain band, and even more for something engraved like the one I got off etsy. I feel like the slight imperfection is completely worth it for it getting the design I wanted for so much cheaper!

tea:  Luckily, Rosados Box has a brick and mortar store not too far from where I live. Worst case scenario, I drive out to the store, no biggie. They have a 1 year warranty on all of their stuff too. I’m hoping this was just a fluke.. I seem to have bad luck with jewelry.

I had a good experience with Etsy.  I’ll share the story.

I stumbled across Etsy because Serenade Diamonds had the design I wanted (without the jewelry store markup).  That’s also how I found out about moissanite :).  I asked tons of questions.  They were responsive and understanding to all of them.

Juan and Lauren were amazing to work with throughout the process.  They do custom designs as well, so I strongly recommend them!

If you can find someone with experience from the particular seller (besides Etsy reviews – like, this site, for example), I say go for it.

We purchased both my engagement ring /wedding band set and my SO’s wedding band from Etsy. I’ve had my ring for 3 years now with absolutely no complaints.

My engagement ring was ordered from Etsy from GNGJewel and I LOVE IT, seriously no complaints except that my FI ordered it too big, but I genuinely thought I had a bigger size. Gene’s work is excellent and he’ll set pretty much any stone you want in any of his settings.

Good on you for getting a set because I went to four different stores trying to find a wedding band and I’m just going to have to end up buying a band from the same guy anyway, lol.

My e-ring is also from etsy, though it’s an estate piece. We had no problems at all, and the ring is far more lovely and sparkly in person than the stock photos had indicated! I would just recommend communicating with the seller before making the purchase, and don’t be afraid to ask for more details/specs/photos. Good luck and enjoy! 🙂

I’m curious too. There’s a seller we’ve been obsessed with that makes amazing bands……
