For a long time, I was obsessed with this. I'm going blue/yellow now, but this is just gorgeous. I don't know if it's along the lines of what you're thinking.
Ok, not to get carried away, but here is another example of how fabulous purple and orange look together:
I go to Clemson so I know all about some orange and purple. Maybe this will help, I just picked 3 different sets of oranges and purples. Good luck!
I went to Clemson! :-) Seems like most of the weddings I've been to where the bride and/or groom when to Clemson have orange and purple as their colors. I see calla lillies a lot since they come in purple and orange.
My SO went to Clemson...but we are not having purple and orange at our wedding...but I have seen some really cute outfits at the clemson football games and I think it would be really cute to do purple and orange.
OMG, that's exactly what I'm thinking for my Oct 2011 wedding! I'm going all vintage autumn colorful with purple and orange being the predominant colors but lots of other colors thrown in. I LOVE a colorful bouquet! Good luck!

We got married in late Sept and our colors were plum and spice orange. It looked really good! We did plum BM dresses and orange dahlia bouquets.
I created a wedding palate. :)
After much proding, the green became a small color splash addition.
We are obviously on the same wave-length! I'm getting married on October 2 as well, and our colors are predominantly eggplant/burnt orange, with splashes of green. My girls will have eggplant dresses with a mixed bouquet featuring burnt orange. This is the bouquet I'm planning on having replicated for myself, minus all the green sprigs all over the place.
For the reception we're having pumpkins and fall leaves, so the eggplant won't really carry over there, but i love it for the bridesmaid dresses/my flowers!

You are amazing... I was considering just burnt orange calla lillies w/ some green... like maybe those sprigs for BMs and my bouquet all whites. But this is gorgeous!
Yeah, I want purple linens and pumpkins as the main theme. Halloween is my favorite holiday and pumpkin spice flavors are my favorite - the cake. Fall is lovely... so, perfection for me!
Its been hard to find purple/orange inspiration. I have more easily found purple and green. Mainly those orchids too.
Wow ladies. I am swooning over these colors together. I had never thought of them for a fall wedding but they are perfect for autumn without being cliche. My "other" wedding (in my dreams) was a fall wedding with pumpkins. I love eggplant too. My colors were eggplant, olive green, and chocolate brown. And that bouquet is just gorgeous.
LOVE Purple and Orange!!! Purple is my fav color and Orange is FI's favorite color. We have a lot of this color pallet in our home.
Halloween is my favorite holiday as well! We're actually going to Halloween Horror Nights at Universal Orlando the night before the wedding as our bachelor/bachelorette party! And I love Pumpkin Spice too! It's my favorite time of year!
@Ms. Caniche - my fiance and i are the same way: i adore purple and he has something orange on every day! I'm having shades of purple,with pops of orange. I love the plum and spice combo!
Ohh I'm excited to find other brides who like this color combo! They're the colors we chose for our wedding. I'm thinkin the dark purple for the main color and burnt orange as an accent.. maybe with some green thrown in too! I find when I tell people about it they think it sounds strange, but then once they see the colors together they get it. I think it looks awesome :)

I know this is an old post, but wanted to see if any of the PPs had any photos of this color scheme? I'm really leaning towards an orange/purple wedding (mostly orange with small pops of purple) and I think my mom thinks I'm crazy. Most of the googling I do comes up with not quite the right color combos (and some are just not my taste) so I wanted to see what the bees had to offer!

My original color scheme is probably going to fall through... since we're thinking about an October wedding.
I love peacock feathers! And plan to have them worked in here and there. My BF just had a teal wedding... so, that kicks out peacock blue. I've seen peacock feathers + a deep purple, which I'm loving... My question is, would it be too much to toss in some burnt orange? What do you think about deep purple and burnt orange (for ex. plum BM dresses and their flowers be burnt orange)? Anyone happen to see an inspiration board or something on these colors? Or is it just too much? Thx!
