Hi Bees! I need help deciding…I’ve always thought I would have a purple themed wedding, but I recently fell in love with royal blue. I’ve decided I definitely want the blue orchids for my flower…the bouquet in the photo is my inspiration. Since I have such a difficult time deciding anything, I’ve chosen convertible dresses for my bridesmaids, but now I’m stuck on a color. I have 4 bridesmaids total (including MOH) Should I do all Purple as originally planned? All Blue? Or maybe 2 of each? Or even try to incorporate two other colors so they are all different? The color selection from this seller seems pretty limited… :/

I looooove those flowers. I honestly can’t decide between purple and blue, but maybe you can incorporate both colours? I feel like they might get lost in the blue dress, but how about a royal blue sash on the purple dresses?

I’m so torn! I Love those flowers but I like the purple dress more than the blue, only because I think royal blue is a bit more bright & vibrant while the purple is more understated and elegant…. BUT If you want those flowers I’d go with the blue dress probably…

First, I’d check with your florist that you will be able to get those colored flowers during your wedding season. Then, go from there.

I really do love the purple too…But I’m also torn!! I think for the bridesmaid bouquets I would have more white flowers than the orchids just so it wouldnt be overwhelming, and then I would have more color in my bouquet. We are getting married in St Thomas, so I’m pretty sure those flowers are readily available…I was also thinking of doing silk flowers even though the orchids aren’t nearly as pretty as in person. I put together another image if I were to go with 4 colors for the girls. I like how the turqoise pops with the flowers…but not sure how it feels with the other dresses…I feel like I am least much closer to a decision than I was yesterday…so progress is progress, right?! LOL

@djenah79: Oh, since you’re getting married in St. Thomas I’d definitely go with the royal blue!

I love the purple with the flower color pick.

@djenah79: I say pick one color for the bridesmaids and the other color for the MOH 🙂 I was stuck between those colors too!! I went with the purple simply because I wanted to incorporate gold and I like gold with purple better than gold with blue but blue is and always has been my favorite color.

My vote is for all one color, no matter what you choose. I’m biased towards the blue since that’s what I did, but they’d both look lovely!

I think the purple is much more elegant than the other colors and goes beautifully with your inspiration flowers! In any case, I’d have just one color for everyone.

My colors are purple and blue, but I’m having trouble with deciding how to use both colors. I’m thinking of either using purple for my bridesmaid dresses and royal blue for the MOH, or putting all of the girls in purple and putting more blue into the flowers. If you’re doing all different colors, I like the combo 2 on the bottom 🙂

I appreciate everyone’s response! 🙂 🙂
I think right now I”m leaning towards all purple…but if I go with 4 colors, I will do combo 2 – here’s a better photo of all 4 colors.
I decided I don’t like just the blue and purple…I’ve browsed through photos on google and decided I’m just not a fan of the 2 colors for just 4 girls. i think the wedding party is too small for 2 of each color.
i think if i just went with purple i would have many more options for flowers – especially if i diy – which i’m planning for now….i think. Plus – if I went with one color I wouldn’t have to worry about people getting catty over what color they want to wear…
BUT I was thinking too that if I get the 4 colors and if any of them wouldn’t actually wear the dress again – they wouldn’t have to buy it and I would just keep it…haha.
