If anyone is using Purple as their main color scheme, I'm posting my purple inspiration board I did on SMP a few weeks ago. Maybe it'll give some of you some inspiration? Purple is GORGEOUS. I'm having my next party be purple-schemed.

I would bring out mostly the purple color in the flowers, etc.

Purple seems to be the IN colour right now. When we were looking for my girls bridesmaid dresses, all we could find in stores was purple and black!
Moneypenny that is amazing fabric! Will that be for your table linens, or just runners? I am a purple girl, I think my guests would find it weird if I had another color. Here's my little inspiration board.

@ Amethyst - It's actually gonna be my tablecloth! It's not quite as busy as it looks in the swatch--there is a lot more white space. There are also only going to be about 10 tables of 8 so I think it will not be too overwhelming. I like how a friend said that instead of having flowers on the table, the table IS the flowers. So I'm doing mostly little votives & probably a single big purple carnation pomander in a black (possibly white) tall thin vase. So, that's the vision!
(PS I considered runners, but they said they couldn't make them in that fabric...but I'm also excited that it will be so bold & colorful!)
heres some pics along the lines of my colors, an amethyst purple with what i call a 'fresh' green and ivory. my girls will be wearing purple and holding green and ivory flowers, and my bouquet will have purple in it as well as green and mayve ivory. the tables will have tall cylinders with floating orchids, some tables will be have green and ivory, some green and purple and others ivory and purple...like the one pic but taller thinner vases, with crystals at the bottom and floating candles at the top. cant wait to see it al come together!! ive always been such a purple girl...i wish i could wear my girls' purple dress myself, lol!!

Awesome!! After my wedding, I get to start planning my sister's and she wants purple, so this is a great post!!
I love the amythyst. I thought it was a lighter purple....but I love those BM dresses. That's one I would actually wear again!
And to set off my purple theme...i rocked my purple suede knee-high boots in my E-photos! LOL

Our colors are eggplant/lavender/lots of shades of green/ivory. The guys are wearing grey tuxes, and the girls wearing eggplant dresses and carrying white/cream and green bouquets, and I'm carrying an all white/cream bouquet. Sometimes I toy with the idea of a purple bouquet but I really love the classic look of a white bridal bouquet!
Have any of you seen this purple throated calla lily? It's perfect for bouts at a purple themed wedding!
I'll chime in! I had a purple wedding too! It was a deep purple, coupled with bright pops of orange and orchid green. 
I loved how the flowers turned out, particularly my bouquet.
Of course, the boys all had purple ties. Yay for purple weddings!
@labbit- Did your bridesmaids wear the Adrianna Papel from Nordstroms? that is my favorite rightnow. Did the maids feel comfortable in them and do you think they are going to wear them again?
I loved those Adrianna Papell dresses too! Alas, I have busty bridesmaids and a conservative family, so they were way too low cut for our wedding.
we are doing purple, grey, black, and "ivory"! Love purple too!!!!
YAY - love all the purple shades. I am doing plum/eggplant which to me falls in the purple category, lol The rest of my pallet is golds, coppers, and vintage blues...
I'm also dong purple! Eggplant and lavender shades. I have to start putting up pics of my inspirational ideas. I will be having some of those picaso calla lilies from the groom picture above in my bouquet.
I'm doing eggplant and a light, silvery blue! Think light blue hydrangeas, dark purple/red dahlias, orchids and blue delphinium.
I'm going with a purple palette too! BMs will wear a grape color with either champagne or gold accents, and have a lilac or lavender for other decorations. I'll have white calla lillies for my BM's flowers and probably white and some purple calla lillies for my own bouquet! I still have lots of time before my date, so if anyone has any suggestions, they would be greatly appreciated! As much of it as possible will be DIY, as well, so any hints there would be great, too!
My favorite color is purple! I couldn't pick just one purple to go with so....I am doing berry colors! Think blackberries, blueberries, raspberries, plumberries (I made that up.) Here is my inspiration board.

Purple bride here too. DB wisteria is the color of BM gowns adding touches of green for accent might need to blend various purples because I am having trouble matching the color which looks nothign like what is on the website. '

i had a purple/beach wedding and will post pics soon! i am waiting to get my pro pics on DVS. for now here is a mock up of my tables i did before my wedding.
I too am using Purple as my main color, were doing Plum and teal..using peacock feathers as accents. our wedding is in an old rustic lodge at a state park, out door ceremony October 5,2012...with the leaves just beginning to change i think it will be a perfect color choice!

I really want to do purple it's my favorite color...however my sister is getting married about 8 months before mine and she was going for a different color but then she went with a Plum color. My wedding would be in the spring so I was thinking of light purple or a jewel purple tone, maybe a combination of both one for my bridesmaids and the jewel color for my MOH. Any ideas?? I was looking at Bari Jay dresses, but their light purple tones are almost grey. I'm also incorporating silver into the mix.
