oh no i think its sooo chic... i have toyed with the idea but the clutches i love are on etsy and a bit on the expensive side (by mollusa) ... so i may just stick to flowers... i dont know yet! :)
I like the idea, but I think that purse may be a tad dainty and understated for the purpose. Maybe if combined with a parasol it would work better.
I just saw an episode of David Tutera's My Fair Wedding where he had the BMs carry clutches with a single calla lily affixed to the front. It was really pretty. I think you could pair the clutches with a big flower to make it stand out more.
If you like the purse go for it. Consider what your bms will be most comfortable with as well.
@elaineathon: I saw that episode too and am toying with the idea. I think this is a very chic idea.
I like the purse down the aisle idea, but I'd be worried about the formal pictures. Are the 'maids just going to hold their purses in them. It might look awkward. And if they just set the purses off to the side and had nothing to hold that might look weird too.
I voted for purse, and I'm not taking that back....but I agree that if the purse too small/understated (can't really tell from the pic), I'm not sure how it would look in pictures. A more structured bag might be easier for them to hold...something like this?

@tritaratops: LOVE that idea. The single bloom is also a good choice.
I love this idea. And I would totally do it, and maybe with a wrist corsage so they get a little flower love too but it's not too in the way for them.

I'm a fan of the purse idea! If it were any other purse, I might say go for the bouquet. But your purse is GORGEOUS!!!

I never considered carrying a clutch. The pics look really cute, but I still like the flowers more. I LOVE flowers.
I would personally feel like i was walking in late if i had a clutch. It maybe to chic for me! :-)
My girls are wearing this dress with this clutch. Clutch arrived the other day (Etsy) and looks AMAZING with it - fabrics match exactly, they are both so excited and can't wait to show them off. In person they look very striking together
This is so chic...I eloped last year and my reception party is in two weeks and I am having a bridal purse made for myself with ivory roses and purple orchids...
I have an issue with spending tons of money on flowers....I would rather have a cool purse as a keepsake...

i came across this cute purse today and am considering having my bridesmaids carry this down the aisle instead of flower bouquets.
my theme is somewhat vintage, bridesmaid dress color is very soft/light pink, and i have asked them to wear light gold heels.
FI is oppose to it saying that it's "weird", but i had seen photos of bridesmaids carry cute purses before.
what do you think?
