I want a new purse/handbag for Christmas and I want to start looking for one know (bit early but like to get it done early). Doesn’t need to designer by any means though those are welcome as well. Where do you buy yours and average price as well as how long did it last you? Pictures are welcome of course.

I like Marshalls for non designer purses, i feel they have a decent selection of purses that won’t fall apart on you within a year.

Im a coach freak so I usually buy from the coach outlet or the coachfactory site. I have a whole bin of coach purses and a whole rack in my closet of the ones I currently rotate. It’s a terrible addiction.

My husband loves to buy me handbags, so I just wait for birthdays and Christmases! I’m currently very attached to Kate Spade.

Usually Nordstrom. They don’t have a ton in the store so I usually find something on their website. Otherwise sometimes I’ll find one at Neiman’s or even Anthropologie.

I buy mine from Dooney and Bourke — usually in their stores, but occasionally online

@asianbarbie: +1. Love Marshalls! And some stores do carry designer names too.
Purses I’m willing to spend a little more on considering they go through so much wear and tear on a daily basis. I want something that will last. Granted, I probably only buy a new purse once every 2-3 years and only have to spend $60-$75 on a designer brand (Calvin Klein, Anne Klein) or $100 for Michael Kors or Kate Spade. I pretty much exclusively buy them at Marshall’s.

Nordstrom Rack – because I like the quality of the designer pieces they carry, and I love the discounted price.

I love handbags. Most of mine I have found at COACH Factory Outlets (I especially love when made-for-retail-only COACH bags are returned there and are on sale), TJMaxx, Marshall’s, and Michael Kors and Kate Spade outlets.
Since I stopped working after having to quit my job to relocate full time to live with my husband after we were married, I’ve even purchased several COACH bags on eBay. I’m extremely thorough in vetting those sellers and investigating those bags to ensure the authenticity, quality, and condition of what I’m purchasing, however.
