Yesterday I had to go to HobLob to get dowel rods to finish making ribbon wands.
I was a very good girl- I went and grabbed my 3 packs of dowels, and a 99 cent pack of sponge brushes (I go through them so fast!) and then I made my way to the line.
With only 3 weeks left until my wedding, I avoided all sections that might inspire me to take on more projects.
And then, there in line, this book that I had seen a MILLION times but never picked up caught my eye…. Handmade Weddings. A $25 hard cover TOME of wedding craft projects.
I quickly flipped through it, even considered buying it… justifying in my head that these don’t have to be *just* wedding crafts, that it could be inspiration for *all* craft/entertaining projects….
And then I quickly put it back and texted my MOH to admit that I have a problem.
She messaged me back with “Put down the book and step away from the craft store.”
So, Hello Bees. My Name is TinyLittleBird, and I have a wedding craft problem.

I did almost the same thing the other day! Stopped into michael’s to get some ribbon for my cake plates and paper to line my cookie/dessert buffet jars and plates with.
The paper was all on sale and I found myself really, really, really wanting the big fan style paper pinwheels I had decided last week it was too late to do without driving myself crazy.
I backed away. Regretfully.
But I would be a made woman attempting that with less than 3 weeks to go!

@thewheelsonthebus: Um…. those pin wheels… I was the mad woman who attempted to start making them with (then 4) weeks to go.
They take a really long time to make, btw, especially when you’re like me and feel compelled to use a lace edge punch on them.
Yeah… that got nixed pretty quickly. They’re pretty and fun, but I just don’t have time for that stuff.
The ones I do have done will probably decorate our candy buffet, though, so they’ll make an appearance.
