Python kills two little boys

@Peachytalk:  I read about this. It’s weird that no one in the apartment heard anything. As a mother, I wouldn’t allow my kids to stay in a house that had a deadly/dangerous pet. I understand they were with a family friend, but pythons are predators and can easily kill people (especially because this particular python is actually banned as a pet – obviously for a reason).

@Peachytalk:  yep, I know people who live in that town.  It’s pretty tragic.  The snake is actually illegal as well.

@MrsPanda99:  The snake apparently escaped from a pet store located below an apartment, it wasn’t being kept in the home where the boys were.

Such a strange and sad tragedy!  I wonder why this pet store had a banned snake breed in their store, though?

@MrsPanda99:  maybe the smake suffocated them before they woKe up? Those snakes squeeze harder everytime you take a breath and take your breath away.

@MrsPanda99:  the snake wasn’t in the apartment, it was in an enclosure in the pet store below and got out through a small hole and crawled through the venthilation system.

@Peachytalk:  im sure there were screams if they knew. It would be easy for the snake to wrap around the two and squeeze without the realization.

@Peachytalk:  I saw. Honestly, they were probably asleep when that happened. It’s little consolation, but hopefully they didn’t feel much. 🙁

And some bees seem confused. The snake wasn’t a pet living in the apartment. It was an animal in a pet store that was below the apartment. It got into the apartment and the boy’s room through an air duct. 🙁 So the business owner is the one responsible, not the family who owned the apartment.

EDIT- I jsut saw the update to the story.. Yeah…. I wouldn’t let my kids stay overnight in a home with a python, either. 🙁 Personally, I think they should NOT be legal pets. They’ve caused a mess in America.

@Asia:  same people owned both the store and the apartment and I just read the most up to date article – it was actually living in the apartment not in the pet store.
