Well the wedding is inching closer and I have been trying to take care of the little things. My question to you gals is should we put up any food signage for the buffet? Our food is pretty much self explanatory when you look at it. What do you think?
P.S. Our menu is fried turkey, barbecue meatballs, macaroni and cheese, rice and gravy, string beans, sweet potatoes, rolls, sweet tea, punch, tea with splenda (I think thats it) and oh yea the wedding cake and grooms cake

You could do up some signage, but it does sound pretty self-explanatory like you mentioned.
I’d do them anyways, in your colors, just to personalize it a little.

I would make them just so there is NO confusion and you can make them cute!

If you have a carver I wouldn’t do signs.. Since its pretty much self-explanatory The 1 or 2 questions I would let the carver tell them.

I you have time and materials to get the signs done, I would do it. If the signs would stress you or add to an already too long DIY list, I would skip it. Being a month out would make me too excited/stressed to think about another DIY. But then again, I am already freaking out and I have 8 months to go. LOL

I was at a wedding with a buffet cocktail hour this weekend and they didn’t have signs for anything. We spent the better part of the cocktail hour arguing over whether something was shrimp or pork (it was shrimp, I was right).
It may seem self explanatory, but it’s really nice to have the signs just in case.

I don’t think anyone will mistake green beans for carrots, but I agree that it’s a cute touch, especially if you create the signage in your wedding colors. 🙂

We did a menu at tables so that people knew what was being served before they went up. You food sounds pretty obvious, so that may not be necessary. It did add a dressier feel to the tables though.

I think it’s a nice touch and an easy way to decorate with your wedding style a litte more.
