I am not a fan of chair covers. I think you end up with a sea of white that takes away from your color scheme. What do your chairs look like? Are they that bad that you need to cover them up?
If the chairs are even half way acceptable,I would just use a colored table runner or overlay. You could then use colored napkins or white napkins and a napkin ring or adornment that brings in your color scheme.
Here are some pics of a satin self tie chair cover with a sash. What do you think?
Here are smaller accents on the same self tie chair covers

Yea, the chairs are pretty bad. The covers are pretty much necessary. I like the top left pic when the sash is just covering the back of the chair. I dont like how it looks when they are tied together.
Do you have a pic of the chairs? Many times here on the Bee brides have thought they had ugly chairs, but the rest of us disagreed.
Here are some more pics of self tie satin covers:

my favorite is the smaller ribbon sash and you could use flowers also or rhinestone brooches or something to fit your theme.
Personally... I kinda hate all chair covers. I know they're "in" right now, but I just hate the way they look. Like a previous poster mentioned- they can get washed out and overfill the room with that white color. Plus- I'm a "tuck-my-feet-under-the-chair" type of sitter, and chair covers get in the way of that and annoy me :P
However, to each their own. I won't knock anybody for using chair covers if they like them. Bouncing my feet against them can get kinda fun I suppose :P
(I voted for table runners- I like splashes on tables a lot better than chair color splashes)
I would have to agree with the other I am not big on char covers... espically white ones... I love Chavari Chairs...
I am planning to use a wide ribbon down the center of our tables to add a little bit of color. Michael's and Hobby Lobby both have 6" spools of tulle or satin ribbon in a variety of colors. I'm waiting until they have another 50% off of all ribbon sale to buy mine. It'll be similar to this. (Please ignore the weird dancing.)

My reception venue provides us with all white table linens, and im going to use them to keep within the budget. However, I still want to add a little punch of color on my tables (other than my floral arrangements). My color is "guava" which is a pink with a slight orange hue to it. They are providing white satin chair covers, however they are the ones that self tie. I originally wanted to add a sash to the chair, but im not sure how that would look with the self tie back. Has any of you done this? How do you think it will look? If it doesnt go together, I was thinking maybe colored napkins or even a table runner. Let me know what you guys think!
