I’ve read some stuff online about how the monitor gives you so many high days as part of it’s programming (i’m not sure if this is true, it seemed pretty odd), and I know it gives you 2 peak days on it’s own.
My question is, does it ONLY show an egg if you did for sure ovulate? I got an egg this morning on day 14–5 days early for me. But, it’s the standard day for ovulation… So I want to make sure that it’s a real one, and not just a programmed thing, until it gets to know you better.
Also, this is my first month using it, so it makes me wonder even more.

when it shows that your LH surge is rising you will get the egg symbol, meaniinng you will ovulate between i think its 24-36 hours. its not a gurantee that you ovulate, it just shows that your hormone lvel is going up and you SHOULD ovulate within that time period. during the first month, a lot of people dnt see the egg, ( i did also on my 14 day, likeyou) but its not a standard programmed thing, its reading your hormone levels. good luck with tcc!

Mine followed my cycles really well, despite their irregularities- my third month using it we were successful. Month 1 I ovulated on day 18, month 2 was day 14, and month 3 was day 18- it got all three months right for me, I could feel the ovulation too so I knew it was on track.

It’s definitely not an automatic setting…it detected LH. Did you have a series of lows and highs beforehand?
The only automatic setting is that after you get a peak, you will automatically get another peak and then another high after. I just quit using it after I get a peak. And I’ve never gotten a peak on 14…always after.
Do some holiday BD!! : )

Thanks you guys–I just wanted to make sure–by temping, I’ve always ovulated more toward day 17, 18, 19, so a 14 was a big surprise! And yes, lows and highs before, just like the manual says you will 🙂
I guess my body just wanted to take advantage of DH having time off for the holiday weekend!
