First, I think these are absolutely gorgeous but how practical are they? I plan to wear my wedding ring all of the time so I’ve got a feeling that one of these might be unsuitable. What do you do when you want to do the dishes, go swimming or do the gardening? Do you just take the risk, wear a stand-in or go ring-free?

@lunalyra: My first set was eternity style and I had issues with it. I was always worried and found my self checking it all the time..ain’t nobody got time for that! Now I have a half eternity and It’s perfect..also can be re sized down the road:) As long as it fits properly, no one will see the diamonds in the back anyway.

I have an eternity set and it’s held up wonderfully! The feel took some getting used to but now I don’t even notice them on. I wear my rings for EVERYTHING except putting on lotion and gardening. But eternity or regular band, I don’t think it’s wise to wear either for something like gardening, unless you’re wearing gloves!

@lunalyra: Can you post a pic of what you’ve got in mind? I’m pretty protective of my ring, so I take it off often for cleaning and whatnot.

@lunalyra: I love channel set! That’s what my e-ring looks like. It never gives me any trouble at all. For a wedding band, if it was me, I would definitely get a half-eternity rather than a regular eternity. I wouldn’t like having those tiny little diamonds on the underside of my ring.

For practicallity options I’m going for an engraved band. No stones…..I can always get an eternity band later to wear on special occasions. But my wedding ring, once on. Will never come off again.

This is my wedding band. I’m not wearing it yet since I’m not getting married until the end of this year but I already have another channel set diamond eternity band that I wear all the time as a RHR and I’ve never had any trouble with it. I don’t wear any jewellery if I’m working on the garden/shed or painting/decorating and I also don’t wear jewellery to the gym (after getting a bracelet caught in one of the machines).
