So I’m basically clueless about this and was hoping you girls could help.
I had a primary doctor that was also my gyno but she recently stopped praticing since she was due to have a baby. How do I find a new doctor that can do everything my previous doctor could do? Is there a title that doctors like this have?
Thank you in advance for your responses.

I would ask the receptionist and see what they say. There should be somebody they’d recommend going to. My doctor has a partner, so if he’s not available, you can make an appointment with him.

@Kari 2012: That would be a family practice docotr that also specialises in OB/GYN. Can you ask your other docotr to reccomend someone or see someone else in her practice? Also if you have insurance, they will often have a list of approved providers to pick from, good luck!

If they can’t refer you to someone who does the same things, I would just get a separate ob/gyn.

I found mine by searching my insurance web site; they have all kinds of specifics to choose from. Mine is an OB and General Practice.

Thank you everyone. I accidently left out that I moved to the other side of the state as well so going to her partner doctors doesn’t work. I knew about my insurance having a list of doctors but just didn’t know what I was looking for. I didn’t know that general practice doctors could do PAPs. Thanks again.
